A Little Bit About Danbo

Danbo (Japanese: ダンボー) is a Japanese cardboard robot that originally appeared in the manga Yotsuba&! in 2007. Similar to Domo, Danbo is seen as an icon of curious innocence.
Danbo is a character from a manga called Yotsuba &!, First published in August 2003 in Japan.
In issue # 28 (from April 2006) Yotsuba one older friend, a girl named Miura Hayasaka, dresses in a robot costume made of cardboard as part of a school project.
Yotsuba finds himself wearing a costume, so Miurabercanda Yotsuba convinced that he is the real "robot attack", backed by money put into the slot on the chest. Miura his name "robot" Danbo, although in internetdia can be known with some variations.
At the end of 2007 toy / model of the Japanese firm Danbo Kaiyodomerilis sculpture as part of their Revoltech product line, featuring movable joints and interchangeable Danbo / Miura head.
A different model has been made available since then, including amazon.co.jp and 7-Eleven branded version, and even a miniature variety... :D
